About

When I was 16 years old, I picked up my father’s 35mm camera and was hooked. I’m proud to say I started out in the darkroom developing my own negatives and prints. Photography doesn’t get any more basic than that, if you ask me. As technology progressed, I saw the potential of digital cameras and knew I had to have one. Not only because of the images they were capable of creating, but also because I felt they would help me progress as a photographer/digital artist at a much higher rate.

I got my first taste of photoshop and the digital darkroom around the age of 17. At first, it was just to make funny composite pictures with friends, but the more we played, the more we learned how much potential the program really had. Over the years I taught myself more advanced techniques. I found that with the right books, a strong desire, and enough practice, I could learn anything.

I’m constantly honing my skills in both, photography and photoshop, by reading books, magazines, websites, attending workshops, and viewing the work of other photographers/digital artists. This is more than just a hobby to me, its something that I enjoy immensely whether I’m out in the field or at the computer getting the most out of my images in photoshop. I hope it shows in my final images.
